Xceptance
is a story that touches us all. Black people, white people... it emphasizes the huge gap we all have in our families and relationships, a mother who walks away from everything including her children seeking a better life using the illegitimate child she bore as her ticket to freedom. Unfortunately her plan folds and the child is no longer useful, cast aside into a world alone at 14 with no place to go and no one to turn to. The story deals with many life challenges; falling in love for the first time, losing one's virginity in a way we all wish we could have. Xceptance commands your attention with its commitment and devotion to the characters portrayed bringing teen pregnancy, abuse and child abandonment to the forefront. It takes place between Chicago and Memphis Tennessee, starting in 1963 and takes you on a journey through the 70's ending off in the 80's. Price: $13.95 |
